Terms of use
Effective 29 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Korrekt: the website korrekt.ng, the Android app and the iPhone app. By using Korrekt you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Korrekt. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
- Korrekt is a price guide and a list of shops we've checked. We don't sell anything, and we're not part of any sale between you and a shop.
- The fair range and verdicts are a guide based on prices verified shops give us, not a promise.
- Check the item and the seller yourself before you pay.
- Shops must give honest prices and details, honour accepted offers, and never sell fake or stolen goods.
1. What Korrekt is
Korrekt shows prices that verified shops have confirmed recently, works out a fair price range from them, and lets you contact those shops, make offers and check phones. Korrekt is not a shop and not an agent of any shop. When you buy something, the sale is between you and the shop. Korrekt isn't a party to it, doesn't hold your money, and isn't responsible for the item, its delivery, its warranty or the shop's conduct.
2. Prices, fair ranges and verdicts
- Prices come from shops, which we ask to confirm them every week. We show only prices confirmed in the last 7 days. "In stock today" means the shop told us in the last day or two that it has the item. A shop's price can still change at any time, and an item can sell out, so confirm the price and stock with the shop.
- The fair range is worked out from verified shops' prices. With fewer than 5 prices it's labelled a rough guide; with fewer than 3 we show no range. Verdicts such as "Fair price" or "Unusually low" are a guide to help you decide, not a valuation or a guarantee.
- "UK-used" and "Nigerian-used" mean the item has been used before. "Refurbished" means it has been repaired or restored by someone. "Tester" (for perfume) means a bottle sold without its retail box. Ask the shop about the exact condition.
- A low price is a reason to check carefully, not proof that anything is wrong with the item or the shop.
- Nobody can pay to change the order of shops or the fair range.
3. Verified shops
Before a shop appears on Korrekt we check that it's real, for example with a photo taken at its shop front, its WhatsApp number and its Instagram page, or a video call for sellers who sell online only. A "CAC registered" badge means we checked the shop's certificate against the CAC register. These checks reduce risk, but they don't guarantee how a shop will behave or what it sells. Track records come from what buyers tell us after they buy.
4. If you're buying
- Inspect the item before you pay, and don't pay anything, including a delivery fee, before you've seen it.
- For phones, check the IMEI, the iCloud or Google account and the condition in front of the seller.
- When you make an offer, you're telling the shop you'll buy at that price if it accepts. If it does, the shop holds that price for 48 hours.
- Answer "Did you buy it?" honestly. Don't send false reports to harm or help a shop.
5. If you run a shop on Korrekt
By listing your shop you agree to:
- give true details about your shop, and only list items you actually have to sell;
- list the real price you'll sell at, keep your prices current, and mark items sold out when they are;
- honour offers you (or your auto-accept setting) accept, at the agreed price, for the time shown;
- describe each item's condition honestly, and never sell counterfeit, stolen, blacklisted or iCloud-locked goods, or anything that's illegal to sell in Nigeria;
- treat buyers fairly and not pressure them to pay before they've seen the item;
- not try to game Korrekt: no fake reports, no prices you don't mean, no listing for other shops.
You let us show your shop's details, photos, prices and track record on Korrekt, on your shop's public price list page, on korrekt.ng's price pages (which search engines such as Google can show), and in links and images that people share.
Listing on Korrekt is free at the moment. We'll tell you before we start charging for anything, and you can choose not to pay.
6. Phone checks (IMEI)
Paid phone checks (on the website and the Android app) use data from IMEI.info, which collects records from networks and manufacturers. They can't show damage, swapped parts or a phone stolen recently or in Nigeria, so a "no red flags" result is not a guarantee. If a check can't run, we refund you through Paystack, usually automatically. Payments are handled by Paystack under its own terms.
7. Things you must not do
- Copy or collect Korrekt's prices or shop details in bulk (by scraping, bots or otherwise) without our written permission.
- Pretend to be someone else, or use someone else's phone number.
- Try to get around our security, read other people's data, or disrupt Korrekt.
- Use Korrekt for anything illegal, including fraud.
8. Removing a shop or an account
We can hide, suspend or remove a shop, its prices or an account, with or without notice, if we believe these terms have been broken, if buyers report serious problems, or if it's needed to protect buyers or comply with the law. A shop can ask us to review the decision by emailing us.
You can delete your account at any time in Korrekt: Account → Delete my account. Our privacy policy explains what that removes.
9. Our responsibility
We work to keep Korrekt accurate and available, but we provide it "as is". As far as the law allows, we're not liable for losses that come from a sale between you and a shop, from a shop's prices or conduct, or from relying on a fair range, verdict or phone check. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.
10. Problems with a shop
If something goes wrong with a purchase, tell us through "Did you buy it?" in Korrekt or by email. We'll look into it and may remove the shop, but we can't refund you for a purchase from a shop. You can also contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change matters, we'll tell you in Korrekt before it takes effect. Using Korrekt after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
